R. G. Rostotchi was born in Timișoara, a beautiful city in Eastern Europe teeming with cathedrals, yet his family background is Soviet. His surname reveals his true roots: his great-grandparents emigrated to Romania because of the war. At four years old, he was entrusted to his grandparents in a house on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border while his parents moved to Italy. At eight, he joined them in the Bel Paese, living with his mother near the French Riviera. After completing compulsory schooling, he set off to explore the continent, where he discovered his passion for books and writing. All his books have been written in different countries. R. G. Rostotchi è nato a Timișoara, una bellissima città dell'Europa orientale ricca di chiese, ma il suo background familiare è sovietico. Il suo cognome rivela le sue vere radici: i suoi grande-genitori emigrarono in Romania a causa della guerra. A quattro anni, fu affidato ai suoi nonni in una casa sul confine moldavo-ucrano mentre i suoi genitori si trasferivano in Italia.
